Inside this ordinary but bustling 711 gas station you’ll find hot, freshly made pizzas that claim to be the “Real Deal”. We headed out to G-Street to taste test some cheesy pies and see if they really live up to the online hype. r/austin has a lot of turds, a lot of good folks too, but a lot of turds too.

“…ladled in premium sauce, the good stuff.”

We ordered the Extreme Meat Pizza.  The clerk promptly grabbed my pie from a heated serving display platter and we were eating in no time. The crust… is light and crispy, and smothered in premium sauce and 100% whole milk mozzarella for an authentic pie I wasn’t able to get enough of. Seriously, I had another slice…and you’ll have another slice…::leans in closely so you can smell his stinking pizza breath::…you will have another slice, do you understand me?

It’s not hard to agree with having another slice! At a price of just $5.55 for a 14-inch circle of pizza you could probably stop by and grab a slice everyday.

Austin, TX – SXSW “Thank You, Now Go Home” signs banned from being displayed at next year’s festival http://dripfeed.news/internet/austin-tx-sxsw-thank-you-now-go-home-signs-banned-from-being-displayed-at-next-years-festival/ http://dripfeed.news/internet/austin-tx-sxsw-thank-you-now-go-home-signs-banned-from-being-displayed-at-next-years-festival/#comments Sun, 20 Mar 2016 22:45:36 +0000 http://dripfeed.news/?p=574 If you’re familiar with music, branding, or interactive technology, you’ve probably heard of the annual event known as SXSW (South by Southwest). This world renowned festival grew from an 800 attendee local event in 1987 to a 84,385 badge-holding attendee “advertising showcase” in 2016. Usually, near the end of the festival, local Austinites will display signs around town with phrases along the lines of “Thank You, Now Go Home.”  It’s a tradition based on the shared misery of Austin residents who must deal with the 400,000+ tourists, and the traffic associated with them, that come to enjoy the tag-along events that surround the SXSW venues.

Today, news is spreading that local representatives are considering banning the use of any “Thank You, Now Go Home” signage at any future SXSW events – starting in 2017.

“We felt that these ‘Thank You, Go Home’ signs popping up around Austin streets near the end of the festival were making our valuable festival goers uncomfortable.”

They were focused on maintaining an inviting theme to future SXSW events. “We felt that these ‘Thank You, Go Home’ signs popping up around Austin streets near the end of the festival were making our valuable festival goers uncomfortable.” They went on to say, “We were approached by a large group of attendees from a California startup… we set up a meeting to discuss why traditions such as the ‘go home’ signage could be detrimental to future events. Additionally, we discussed how Austinites could inspire a more friendly and inviting atmosphere to bring in more tourists for next year’s SXSW.”

I personally believe that the residents are simply showing their appreciation for the love of the festival and the economic boost it gives, but also sharing their opinion that this city is also “home sweet home” to many who live here. The locals who live within Austin value the unique energy the city has during non-event seasons and they want their visitors to respect that. A tradition based on preserving your community’s sanity from tourism overflow isn’t something to ban in my opinion. Leave us a comment below or tweet @dripfeed_news on twitter to tell us what you think of the potential ban on ‘go home’ signage.

Future Claims that His #EVOL Concerts will be Underwater. http://dripfeed.news/internet/future-claims-that-his-evol-concerts-will-be-underwater/ http://dripfeed.news/internet/future-claims-that-his-evol-concerts-will-be-underwater/#respond Thu, 04 Feb 2016 02:45:43 +0000 http://dripfeed.news/?p=234 With the announcement of Future’s new album, apparently named #EVOL (fresh off the social media buzz.) People are already getting hyped about the concerts that will follow. Although Future hasn’t released any tour dates, it was revealed that the #EVOL tour will be mostly held at underwater venues. Many are speculating about what exactly that means, with some suggesting that he may be using aquariums or special “pool inspired” stages.

The Dripfeed StreetSquad thinks this may be in relation to his limited production budget for audio effects; by using underwater venues he can cheaply achieve his unique bubbling auto-tune sound without expensive equipment. Our in-house hiphop expert believed that we wouldn’t be able to tell a difference in rap quality or musical talent.

Stop Hating on The Fine Bros! http://dripfeed.news/internet/stop-hating-on-the-fine-bros/ http://dripfeed.news/internet/stop-hating-on-the-fine-bros/#comments Mon, 01 Feb 2016 02:03:54 +0000 http://dripfeed.news/?p=500 Do you love reaction videos? Here at Dripfeed, we do too!

From toddlers reacting to videos shown to them on a tv screen, to grandparents reacting to videos shown to them on a tv screen, to tv screens reacting to videos shown to them on a tv screen. We love them all!  Reaction videos are the most shareable video format on any video sharing network on the web, and one Youtube channel is looking to funnel all of that reaction goodness through one moderated network.

“This is not just a big step for our company, but for the entire global media industry.”

The Fine Bros released an announcement video on Tuesday stating that they were going be offering “licensed packages” of their graphics, video formats, and video editing secrets, along with other goodies. It seems their goal is to create a global “reaction network” with “community content creators” releasing reaction videos all across the globe under the ownership of The Fine Bros Network. Video creators are being encouraged to contact the channel for licensing agreements immediately to start the fun and community experience 😉

By agreeing to a license, the video creator is free from being sued for infringement upon The Fine Bros ownership of reactions. “This is not just a big step for our company, but for the entire global media industry.” the Bros stated in their video. A big step indeed, introducing complex legalities into the longstanding Youtube reaction video community will help to make sure that no shitty, boring, and unoriginal ideas will ever see the light of day on Youtube again. Just imagine all of the excited 13-year olds across the world, filming stupid shit with their iphones, and then submitting it to the ReactWorld Network. Guess who will be sorting through all of those shitty videos for us?  The Fine Bros, acting as our reaction video curators, will deliver only the purest form of reaction videos. Dripfeed predicts a proverbial golden age of reaction videos within the decade.

Introducing complex legalities into the longstanding Youtube reaction video community will help to make sure that no shitty, boring, and unoriginal ideas will ever see the light of day on Youtube again.

The team at Dripfeed agrees, The Fine Bros are the future of entertainment. By mining the entire planet for ideas, video content, and grandma’s that are willing smell their own shit on camera, they’re effectively securing an infinite source of ad revenue – earned off the backs of content creators. It’s fucking genius! The Bros only want 40% of the creators earnings in exchange for using the logos, graphics, and format from the licensing agreement. That’s a steal in our opinion; and it’s best to sign up today before all the slots are taken by amateurs. Welcome to age of #ReactWorld!

Mardi Gras Postponed in New Orleans After an Actual Baby was Baked into King Cake. http://dripfeed.news/internet/mardi-gras-postponed-in-new-orleans-after-an-actual-baby-was-baked-into-king-cake/ http://dripfeed.news/internet/mardi-gras-postponed-in-new-orleans-after-an-actual-baby-was-baked-into-king-cake/#respond Fri, 22 Jan 2016 00:52:35 +0000 http://dripfeed.news/?p=194 Uncomfortable news is emerging from New Orleans, LA (NOLA) today. Scattered reports on social media mention an accident involving what would normally be a historic treat for the city’s residents. Allegedly an infant was accidentally dropped into an industrial King-Batter© King Cake Kiln during a cake factory tour on Thursday. The parents had this to say:

“I held the little one over the batter mixer machine thing for a better view and suddenly lost my grip…the baby became submerged in butter, sugar, and creamy batter almost immediately. We lost sight of it after the vat of batter was sucked off down a tube. It took us over 40 minutes to get help.”

The factory owners claim the parents had decided to separate from the tour group and examine the factory on their own. Factory officials say the infant was most likely baked into a batch of king cakes which shipped to grocery stores the same day.  The accident may lead to official discussion about why the factory did not have preventative equipment in place to keep children from falling into the batter. The Preachers Parish Community Group is postponing Mardi Gras while a product recall is considered.

A Quick History of the Delicious Kingly Cake.

King cake is a classic New Orleans traditional cake with roots that reach as far back as the French invasion of New Orleans in the 16th Century. French bakers created the cake to celebrate the French victory over the city. The Mardi Gras king cake is usually baked with a small plastic baby figurine inside; a tradition promoted by the first bakeries of New Orleans. Historians point to the young bakers of NOLA starting the baby-in-cake style of baking.

After having problems with local children bothering them while they baked the delicious cakes; they began to jokingly threaten children who lingered for too long with the old baker’s adage, Sortez de ma putain de boutique avant que je décide de faire cuire un chevreau dans un gâteau!” or translated to English as, “Get out of my fucking shop before I decide to cook a child in a cake!” A bit crude, but it’s a very French reaction.

The tradition continues today throughout New Orleans during the Mardi Gras season. Any tourists who find a plastic baby in their piece of king cake are encouraged to direct their attention to any children close by and yell the old baker’s words as loudly as they can. dripfeedlarge

Oregon High School to Introduce “Marijuana Studies” Class to Curriculum in 2016. http://dripfeed.news/news/oregon-high-school-to-introduce-marijuana-studies-class-to-curriculum-in-2016/ http://dripfeed.news/news/oregon-high-school-to-introduce-marijuana-studies-class-to-curriculum-in-2016/#respond Tue, 19 Jan 2016 23:46:53 +0000 http://dripfeed.news/?p=156

An unnamed high school located in Oregon has announced a plan to introduce a marijuana-focused class to it’s students. Dripfeed received a notification from the school’s PTA Public Relations Department on Tuesday afternoon. The notification claimed that it would offer a semester of “…activities revolving around learning the effects, culture, cultivation, and marketing surrounding the Marijuana industry.”

Dripfeed turned to social media to get further details surrounding the use of marijuana by the high school students, we received a Facebook friend request, followed by a student’s personal testimonial sent via Facebook Messenger:

“Well basically, [when the class smokes] I start to feel released from the constraints of society. I start to imagine the classroom as this small box that I can float above. From my new perspective above the classroom, I notice how the campus is like a maze with multiple endings and solutions. One path of the maze leads you to Advanced Math class, the other path takes you to eat chicken nuggets with the special-ed kids in the cafeteria because you got there too early. It’s like this whole place is made of hallways.”

Dripfeed will continue to stay in contact with the high school and relay developments on this groundbreaking educational class.

Get More Conversions in 2016 with These Top Tips. http://dripfeed.news/internet/get-more-conversions-in-2016-with-these-top-tips/ http://dripfeed.news/internet/get-more-conversions-in-2016-with-these-top-tips/#respond Mon, 18 Jan 2016 20:52:11 +0000 http://dripfeed.news/?p=102

Let’s be honest, fellow entrepreneurs, getting conversions through your door is your top priority for the new year (2016™). Save the exercise and paleo dieting for your family time. Conversions are the lifeblood of entrepreneurs, we thrive on them and can’t live without them. Use my personal “top tips” to get record conversions this year and take your business “to the top”. This will be an ongoing series of tips for you to use throughout the new year (2016™).

Top Tip #1. Start preparing for the New Electronic Email Format™ (NEEF) coming in 2016™.

The tech behind the new email is a mystery to most, but essentially your emails are stored on a public Cloud™ Flare Server™after being sent. This storage server holds all email sent over the internet for a period of time (Email Purgatory™) before they are transferred to the secure inbox of the recipient (Internet Mail Server System™). A San Francisco based start-up has announced a new App which will read and scan all of the emails travelling through the public Cloud™ Flare Server™ and allow you to penetrate your market extra-deeply with campaigns routed exactly to their intended audience based off of email content.

“This storage server holds all email sent over the internet™ for a period of time (Email Purgatory™) before they are transferred to the secure inbox of the recipient (Internet Mail Server System™).”

If your finger has been on the pulse of new media™ and internet development like mine, you may have heard about that new email system. Rumors have been abuzz about a potential announcement and further details on the new system coming early this year. So far, we know that the W3 Collective™, the company who owns the internet™, is developing the system. They’ve hinted at how this new system will allow deeper penetration and dripthroughs™. This leads me to believe that heading into the future, entrepreneurs will be dripping on most if not all customers, keeping them coming back for more. Stay tuned for further details as DripFeed™ covers this developing story.

Leave your thoughts™ about the new NEEF™ system below.
